Creative Cities Amsterdam Area
Why: more creative businesses
Creative Cities Amsterdam Area (CCAA) stimulated the creative industries in the seven cities of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. The programme was initiated in 2007, with a pledge to cooperate on the part of the region’s local government and other organisations. CCAA aimed to promote:
- The establishment of (international) creative companies in the region;
- The take-up of products and services from creative companies in the region by (international) businesses;
- The attractiveness of the region for international creative talent.
How: one-stop shop for the creative industries
Creative Amsterdam offered national and international companies access to the creative potential of the region through a community website and offices in different cities. Conversely, it also helps the region’s creative companies find the right facilities to stimulate their entrepreneurialism.
